At Kayak Adventure our instruction & guiding is inspired by a lifetime of boating experience on Long Island Sound. We take pride in our outstanding small group instruction and beginners' tours for novice sea kayakers. For intermediate paddlers, we provide coastal tours, and focus on building skills: stroke refinement, rescue technique, and handling wind & waves. Advanced paddlers continue skill development through challenging day trips and special clinics. Click on the colorful links in the text below for detailed information.

Our instructor Michele is ACA certified at Coastal Kayak Level 3 (1998, 2002, 2006), and has taught kayaking year-round for eight years. Read about her background, what clients & media say, and the paddlers who've inspired her.

We rent kayaks for our trips and lessons, and to qualified paddlers. About Our Rental Kayaks explains our rental policy and lists our boats, each with its own page. Our sit-inside kayaks include Current Designs, Eddyline, Impex, Necky, Valley and Wilderness Systems brands. We use Heritage sea-going sit-on-tops.
