Sea Dart 14'

The Sea Dart 14 is perfect for paddlers who like to explore. A "Greenland" style kayak, it's low profile and beautiful lines draw instant attention. Paddlers appreciate how it slices through the waves, moving almost effortlessly in the water. It has a built-in skeg, which gives it excellent tracking (stays on course). The boat is 14'2" long, 28" wide, and weighs 62 pounds. It has a 280 pound capacity. Kayak Adventure uses the Sea Dart 14 for Quickstart Paddling classes for sit-on-top kayakers, and for coastal tours where we maneuver in and out of small coves and marshes. It's a good choice for winter, as it's stable and easy to re-enter if you happen to tip over.

Ms. Kayak says: The Sea Dart 14 gets me where I'm going, no matter what the conditions! I paddle this kayak in the Bahamas when I visit my mom. Off Great Guana Cay, there can be strong winds and big waves, which demand a well-designed boat. Once I had two large power boats pass me at the same time, one on each side. The wakes were about three feet high and crossed right where I was paddling. I laughed as they crashed over the Sea Dart. Most of the time, though, I am poking around from one coral rimmed cove to another, stopping frequently to watch birds or slip over the side to snorkel. This is my ideal vacation kayak.
